About CanningHill Piers
CanningHill Piers is a highly anticipated new integrated development coming up along the Singapore River at the former Liang Court site located at River Valley Road alongside the Clarke Quay.
Along the Singapore River, there are no vacant for development, thus thru a consortium between CapitaLand Limited, City Developments Limited and Ascott Residence Trust, they teamed up to redevelop the former Novotel Hotel, Somerset Liang Court serviced residences and the Liang Court Mall into an integrated development.
This integrated development consisting of 696 residential units in two towers will also feature a commercial mall, a hotel and a serviced residence with a hotel license and also a direct connection to the Fort Canning MRT Station along the Downtown Line.
This was made possible after CDL Hospitality Trusts (CDLHT) sold its interest in Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay to CapitaLand and CDL in a 50:50 joint venture entities and simultaneously, Ascott Reit sold part of its interest in Somerset Liang Court to CDL.
Once completed, CanningHill Piers which is the residential component and CanningHill Square being the commercial component will be owned by CDL-CapitaLand joint venture entities while Ascott Reit will own and operate the 192 units of serviced residence under the Somerset brand. CDLHT will own the 460 to 475 rooms hotel and operate under the brand Moxy by Marriott International.
Inlined with the URA Master Plan 2019, the partnership also plans to increase the vibrancy around the area by rejuvenating the river promenade which will be expected to generate social activities and increase footfall to CanningHill Piers and the commercial mall.
CanningHill Piers is strategically located in the fringe of Singapore's Central Business District which enjoys multiple frontages with views of the Singapore River, Fort Canning Hill and city view.
With these excellent location attributes and the developer's profile for CanningHill Piers, it will be an iconic upmarket high-rise development along the riverfront.
